Surf at Mexico
CommentsMexico is located in the northern region of the American continent between the Gulf of Mexico on the east and the Pacific Ocean on the west. It is bordered by the United States on the north and by Guatemala and Belize on the south.
With almost 2500 Miles of Pacific coastline facing west, Mexico is a magnet to swell and having a deep water trench to funnel this energy just offshore it has become a classic surf destination. With dozens of beaches and unbeatable swells that vary considerably in face height (all creating glassy surfing conditions) means that the surf is great for both beginners and professionals alike who love the feeling only experienced when riding the crest of a wave.
You can expect waves ranging from knee high to a few feet overhead, depending on the swell and which point you are surfing. The amazing thing is that even at knee high, waves are perfect and can be ridden for hundreds of yards on a longboard. You will get more practice actually riding a wave here .ten times more than at a normal wave in southern California. If you really love to surf, this is the place.
With an ideal climate of sunny days throughout most of the year and average temperatures ranging from 20 ° C (68° F) in the winter and 36° C (97° F) during the summer makes our resorts in Mexico the perfect destination for both summer and winter surf.
As well as the surf you'll find incredible natural scenery: breathtaking deserts, nature reserves and staggering mountains where you can witness magnificent cave murals or visit the old missions. What's more if it's other water sport activities you're after then there's sport fishing, windsurfing, kayaking, scuba diving and even whale-watching!
If all that has worked up your appetite then Mexico is the right country to fulfil it. Thanks to pre-Hispanic and Spanish influences, Mexican cuisine, with more than 20 centuries of tradition, brings together the flavours of two continents with colourful and delicious dishes. World famous for its diversity, the vast number of ingredients used, including corn, beans, chili peppers, vegetables and domestic meats together with the local culinary techniques used are all part of the unique (and delicious) experience. Of course you cant visit Mexico without sampling the local tipple - A bottle of Tequila with a real worm at the bottom!
A Mexican surfing holiday with Pure Vacations is not only a different way of surfing, it's a different way of life and one that you will take with you wherever you go. Golfo - Mexico
